Review :
Thank you for this book! It saved my little girl...
My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD in spring earlier this year. Although she has excelled after being diagnosed and put on medication, she had an emotional battle she was fighting alone. She broke down one night in sobs saying how she feels different than other girls and how terrible she feels having something "wrong" with her. She was depressed...It was heartbreaking. I can only imagine how hard it is for her to accept having ADHD along with the normal hormone changes that happens to tween girls. It's so much to handle for a little child. This book which we read together helped us tremendously. I learned about it from [...]. An awesome resourceful ADD/ADHD website. My daughter now feels confident and happy with herself. She now knows that ADHD doesn't define her as a person. Along with doing exceptionally well in school with straight As, she is also very happy emotionally and able to enjoy her childhood. This book is a life saver. Thank you so much and to those parents out there...
A must-have for teen & tween girls with ADHD
I absolutely loved this book! As a Mom with ADHD parenting a daughter with ADHD, Attention Girls! was exactly what I was looking for. The illustrations, graphics and layout of the book kept my daughter interested, while the incredibly helpful tips, stories and information taught us more than I would have ever imagined. Dr. Quinn made the information relatable and easily executable...what a difference reading it has made in our house!

Wonderful book written in a language a child can understand.
I purchased this book for the child of a friend of mine. The book is designed in an amazing way just for young girls and is written in their language. It is engaging and does a great job of helping comfort girls with ADD/ADHD and letting them realize that they are not alone and that they have amazing gifts. She was so happy with the book and told me that she didn't feel like she was the only one who struggled with certain issues. This should be in every girls library collection if she has ADD/ADHD. It is a positive book and does not talk negatively about behaviors associated with ADD as other books that I have read say "How to deal with the problem of your child having ADD/ADHD." It is NOT a problem, it is a different way of thinking and behaving and has to be understood. I wish these books were sold more in actual stores instead of just online.

Review :
A must have for AD/HD children
I'm a child therapist that specializes working with AD/HD kids, and this is a must have working with kids with AD/HD, or parenting a child with AD/HD. Instead of simply reading about AD/HD, kids are able to do activities learning about and learning to take responsibility for their AD/HD.

Helps child to get more of an understanding about ADHD
Activities are good if you have a somewhat creative child. My child is not completly great with using the book but he was able to learn about being ADHD. We sat down and read parts of the book together. My son is 6 and most of the book was way ahead of his age. I would reccomend for a preteen.

Book is a must have for any ADHD child
I purchased the book for the child of a close friend of mine. This book is helping her understand her feelings as well as specific challenges she faces because of her ADHD. I recommend this book to every child with ADHD. The book is designed in a very child friendly way.

Cory is easy to identify with...
My 8-year-old son who has ADD (without hyperactivity) latched onto this book immediately upon the first reading and has wanted me to re-read it to him several times. I believe he sees a real connection between things in his own life and things in 'Cory's' life in the book. Cory is a sweet, but very hyperactive boy, who has the same kind of issues as a lot of ADHD kids.

The book is very straightforward and explains quite a bit about being diagnosed and getting treatment, but all at a young child's level. This is not a comprehensive guide to everything a child or parent can do to address ADHD. It is just a very nice story that allows a child to identify with a main character who may be much like him. I think it allowed my son to see that he is not alone in what he experiences and that there are ways to make things better.

Helped open further discussion with our son
Our 9 year old son has been recently identified as a child with ADD and mild hyperactivity. We have been discussing techniques with a therapist on how to stay on task, but after reading this book with our son, we found out that he feels like more of an outcast than we realized. He was excited to know that someone else feels the way he does, that the rest of the family has some of those same thoughts and feelings too and it made all of us laugh about it.

Excellent!
A wonderful book that helps children and even adults understand what it feels like to have ADHD. I think it really helped by 6 year old son understand that he is not alone in how he feels with this disorder. For the past two years we didn't know what was wrong with him, we thought that maybe he was just really hyper. When his teachers told us that his behavior was so bad at school they were thinking of putting him in a special class, we knew we had to do something. He was diagnosed with ADHD and is now in therapy and takes medication. We have noticed a huge difference. It feels good to know that we are not the only ones going through this, and that he is not a bad kid, he is just different. This book really helped to get that point across. I bought a few copies for his grandparents and teachers. A great recommendation for parents looking to explain their child's ADHD to them.
